Grace is scandalous. It is scandalous that the sinner is offered the hand of friendship from the Righteous King. It is scandalous that the rebel is welcomed home as a son or daughter. It is scandalous that those far from God do not have to do penance to receive the inheritance of the Son. Grace is scandalous.
