The Promised Messiah

January 8, 2017 Speaker: Jordan Gowing Series: Genesis | Origins

Topic: Sunday Morning Teaching Passage: Genesis 49:1–27

Nearing the end of his life, Jacob calls his family into his presence one last time. One by one, his sons come before him for a blessing, or more accurately, a pronouncement of the future of their lives. While each of these comes true, one in particular stands the test of time: the pronouncement concerning the offspring of Judah. Here in Genesis 49, we catch a clear glimpse of the coming Messiah, Jesus. Join us this Sunday at CrossWinds Church in Spencer as we explore Jacob's words concerning the Messiah who has come and is coming again.
