Kevin and his family have been attending the Spencer campus for a number of years, but were called to the international mission field in Tanzania in 2023. Upon their return, Kevin joined the team at CrossWinds in January 2024 as the Director of Communication. Working in both campuses but based in our Spirit Lake office.
Born and raised in Primghar, IA - summering in the Iowa Great Lakes, Kevin has served in a variety of roles around the community from politics and public service to working in the technology sector and owning a media company.
He grew up in a Christian home but didn't take his faith seriously until much later in life after a series of traumatic experiences involving alcohol. Kevin has been in recovery for nearly a decade when he accepted Jesus Christ as Lord of his life...if you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, please reach out to Kevin as he is happy to share testimony and prayer time.
Kevin primarily works with all of our church communications (internal and external) which includes being our resident expert on the Church App, but he is also very passionate about our various outreach ministries as well as being the person to talk with if you're interested in joining a Life Group or strengthening your current small group. When he isn't working you will find him on the water or the trail system with his wife Tara and their two boys - Oscar & Philip.
