God's Mission Goes Global

  1. Read Revelation 5:9–10. How does this story connect to Revelation 5? What do we mean when we say that God’s plan is “global”? What are some ways that you can be a part of God’s global plan at CrossWinds?
  2. What is one takeaway you have from this passage? What will you do with that this week? What is a question you still have after studying this passage?
  3. Read Acts 11:20. What does this verse tell us about the origins of the Antioch church from the beginning? How does the willingness of these “missionaries” to preach the gospel to all people (not just Jews) influence the church in Antioch?
  4. Read Acts 13:1–3. Take some time to discuss the differences represented in the leadership at Antioch. What can we learn about how the importance of bringing the gospel to all people?
  5. Read Acts 13:4–12. In this passage we have a “battle” between two types of wisdom/intelligence. What are they? What does this show us about the wisdom of the world vs. the wisdom of God?
  6. What does this passage teach us about opposition to the gospel? What does that mean for you today?
  7. What does this passage teach us about God’s power to save? How does that give comfort for today?
  8. This Time Tomorrow: How does this passage transform your thoughts, actions, or interactions at “this time tomorrow”?
