The Gentile Pentecost

Why is the conversion of Cornelius one of the most important passages in the Bible for us today? Join us this Sunday at CrossWinds Church in Spencer as we consider the answer from Acts 10.

1. Read Ephesians 3:6. Imagine being a first-century Jew and hearing these words? Would it be hard to understand? Why is this passage in Acts 10 so important?
2. What is one takeaway you have from this passage? What will you do with that this week? What is a question you still have after studying this passage?
3. In Acts 10:34–43, Peter doesn’t change the gospel message, but he does contextualize it. What does this mean? Why is this important today? How does this set Christianity apart from other religions?
4. Read Acts 10:38. How does this verse provide the “spiritual” context of Jesus’s ministry? How does this provide the proper mindset for reaching people with Jesus today (cf. 2 Tim. 2:24–26)?
