How does the church give us a glimpse of God's forever kingdom? Join us this Sunday at CrossWinds Church in Spencer as we consider the answer from Acts 4.
Sermon Discussion
- How does this passage give us a “taste of heaven on earth”? Share some examples from your life where everything “seems right” and you wish that the moment would last forever. How do those longings point us to the eternal kingdom?
- What is one takeaway from this passage and one question that you had after studying this passage?
- Read Acts 4:32; Philippians 2:1–4. What does it look like for the church to be “one”? How can our church grow in this area? How can you grow in this area?
- Read Acts 4:33. What is the connection between the “great grace” of this verse and the testimony of the apostles (i.e., the gospel)?
- Read Acts 4:34; Psalm 103:13. In our sermon, we saw that compassion is a “gut level feeling” that compels us to act. Using this description, would you say that you are a person of compassion? Why or why not? How can we grow in compassion?
- Read Acts 4:34; Deuteronomy 15:4. How do these verses connect? What is Luke trying to communicate here?
- This Time Tomorrow: How does this passage transform your thoughts, actions, or interactions at “this time tomorrow”?
