  3. Read Acts 4:23–24. Why is it important to recognize God’s sovereignty over our suffering? What is the danger of not acknowledging his sovereignty?
  4. Read Psalm 2. What is the message of this psalm? How did it apply in David’s day? What picture does it give us of Jesus?
  5. Read Acts 4:29–30. When faced with suffering, how should we pray? How does this compare to the common prayers of today?
