4. Read Proverbs 3:34; 1 Peter 5:5; James 4:6; Isaiah 66:2. What is God’s “attitude” toward the humble? What is his attitude toward pride? How might this motivate us toward humility?

6. Read Proverbs 6:16–17; 8:13. Why does God hate pride?
7. Read Genesis 11:4. What does the story of Babel reveal about pride and the human heart?
