1. Why must the Christian life be a “life together”? What does this look like today?
2. What is one takeaway from the sermon and one question that you had after hearing the sermon?
3. Read 1 Thessalonians 5:12–13. What did you learn from these verses on the responsibilities of church leaders? What did you learn about how we should respond to church leaders? How is this an important piece of “life together” in the church?
4. Read 1 Thessalonians 5:14–15. Why is it significant that Paul highlights specific groups of people in the church that may be harder to interact with? 
5. Read 1 Thessalonians 5:14. In what ways is patience essential for interacting with others in the church? Would others consider you patient? How can you grow in patience with others?
6. Read 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18. What did you learn from these verses on prayer in the church? What would it look like for our church to grow in this area of life together?
7. Read 1 Thessalonians 5:19; Ephesians 4:17–5:21 (esp. 4:30). What do these verses teach us about “grieving the Spirit”?
