Words of Glory

October 17, 2021 Speaker: Jordan Gowing Series: Jude | Preserve the Truth

Topic: Sunday Morning Teaching Passage: Jude 1:24–25

In the midst of a call to "preserve the truth," Jude ends with a beautiful reminder that God will "preserve us." Join us this Sunday at CrossWinds Church in Spencer as we consider Jude's doxology.

Sermon Discussion Questions

  1. What does it mean that we were all “created to worship”? Do you agree or disagree with this statement?
  2. What is one highlight from the sermon and one question that you had after hearing the sermon?
  3. Read Jude 24. Jude doesn’t just focus on what God has done for us in the gospel but also what God will do for us in the gospel. What do you find particularly impactful from this verse?
  4. Read Leviticus 1:2–3; Isaiah 6:1–7. What does it mean to be “blameless”? Why must we be blameless to enter God’s presence?
  5. Read Revelation 21:3. What do you imagine the New Creation will be like? What of the New Creation excites you? How is that different than cultural ideas of life after death?
  6. When Jude says, “God is able,” he essentially means “God is willing.” How is Jude 24 an encouragement to you?
  7. Read Jude 25; Ephesians 1:3–6; 1 John 4:10. In what ways is God the Father at work in the story of salvation?
  8. Read Jude 25 again. What do each of these attributes mean? Which ones stick out to you most?
  9. What is one thing you will take away from our study in the book of Jude?
  10. 10.This Time Tomorrow: How does this passage transform your thoughts, actions, or interactions at this time tomorrow?
