3. Read 1 Peter 1:1–2. What does Peter mean when he calls the church the “elect exiles of the dispersion”? How does that change our view of here and now?
4. Consider the example of Joseph in Egypt. What can we learn from him on how to view our place int he world?
5. Read 1 Peter 2:17. In what ways does this verse challenge us to be more gracious toward government with which we may not agree? In what ways does this verse limit what a government can ask of us?
