Kurt joined the CrossWinds staff in the Fall of 2008 as the Lead Pastor. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Messiah College of Grantham, PA, a Master's degree in Divinity from Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL, and a Doctor of Ministry degree in preaching from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Hamilton, MA.
He loves teaching the Bible, showing how the ancient text connects to the modern world, and strategizing with the staff and elders of both campuses to reach our community with Jesus.
He grew up in a Christian home, but his faith became his own on a summer mission trip in high school. He met his wife, Cindy, at a church singles ministry in Chicago. They have three grown children.
When not at CrossWinds, you can find Kurt and Cindy breaking a sweat at the local YMCA. Kurt also runs the website www.christ2Rculture.com in his free time, makes tasty bacon on the smoker, and spends time with his children and grandchildren. His favorite sport is wrestling and he loves cheering for the local high school team.
