Jordan enjoys the outdoors and being active. He is an avid reader and a self-proclaimed cultural connoisseur. More importantly, he is passionate about seeing people fall deeper in love with God revealed in the person of Jesus Christ, and he loves to encourage people in their faith.
If you are at our Spencer campus, Jordan would love to get to know you and see how he can encourage you and your family in your walk with God, no matter how strong (or weak) your faith is.
Kurt Trucksess | Senior Pastor
Kurt and his family came to CrossWinds Church in the fall of 2008. Prior to his arrival he served as a senior pastor at an Evangelical Free Church in Ludington, Mich., and as the pastor of student ministries in an Evangelical Free Church in St. Joseph, Mich.
Kurt holds a bachelors degree in computer science from Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, Penn., a masters of divinity from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Ill., and a doctorate from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Mass.
Kurt enjoys people and would love to meet you after a service. When not in church, you can find him helping in the local high school wrestling room, cycling, reading, writing or his favorite avocation, spending time with his family.
Dave Smidt | Pastor of Ministry Leadership
Dave joined the CrossWinds team in February 2013. He focuses on leading ministry teams to help others enjoy success in their roles.
Dave earned his doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Iowa State University in Ames in 1974 and a masters in biblical studies from Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas in 1985.
He married his wife, Helen, in 1971, and they enjoy spending time with their three children and six grandchildren, traveling, most any activity on the water and attending Cyclone athletic events.
Dave and Helen share the gift of hospitality. They look forward to building deeper relationships with the CrossWinds Church family.
Stephen Albi | Pastor of Student Ministries
Our pastor of children and student ministries joined CrossWinds Church in the Fall of 2014. Before moving to Spirit Lake, he and his wife Ashley lived in Denver, Colorado where Stephen grew up and they both attended seminary. They were both involved in a campus launch in Littleton, CO where Stephen served as a Deacon. Stephen holds a bachelors degree in industrial design technology from the Art Institute of Colorado and a masters of divinity degree from Denver Seminary.
Stephen enjoys many hobbies and passions including theology, art, powerlifting, martial arts, movies, target shooting, comic books, audio, and video games. His biggest passion is engaging with people though all these avenues and pointing people to the most creative, powerful, complex and loving God in the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
If you are a student, the parent of a student, or a student at heart (honestly, no one should stop learning) Stephen would love to get to know you and help you navigate what it means to be a Christian and grow to know God deeply.
